my why

Dedicated August 2016
My father was a life-long pacifist, but he volunteered to join the army. He served in Europe during WWII because Hitler was such threat to humanity. As I grew up, he wanted me to understand how tyrants come to power.

He taught me that one of the strategies is to tell a lie.

Not a small tame lie, a BIG lie - really, the more preposterous the better.

Then repeat it over and over.
Repeat it over and over.
Repeat it over and over.

Eventually it seeps into people's consciousness and they begin to believe it - especially if it feeds their own insecurities.

Dad, if you were still with us, how sad you would be to see the state of your dear country. This site is a tribute to your gentle kindness.

My most sincere appreciation for the folks who have shared their knowledge and good will so generously

She piloted the in augural voter curriculum at Claremont High School, created a school policy for this material to be taught every two years, and received over 2500+ various grants for her organization.

She spearheaded the curriculum for a Girl Scouts workshop to achieve their Democracy Badges during her internship at IGNITE, a nonpartisan organization promoting young women in politics, and is devoted to promoting access to voter education and literacy.

She is passionate about various local issues and has published two research papers on climate change with the USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future. Fiona is a passionate youth advocate who encourages young people to speak up in nontraditional spaces.
